Manufacturers, as well as loudspeaker design engineers and application engineers, may find EASE SpeakerLab to be a very useful and powerful design tool. While the GLL data format supports a single set of measurements for a complete loudspeaker cabinet, AFMG recommends so-called multi-source measurements. For a true multi-source measurement set, the complex polar data of each individual driver or pass band of the loudspeaker will be measured separately. This does not only provide the highest quality during simulation but also allows extensive interaction for the RD engineer.
Many different potential filter options can be evaluated very quickly to optimize the design of a loudspeaker system. Measurements of passive, active, or DSP-based crossover filters can also be imported into EASE SpeakerLab and used to calculate the total response for a loudspeaker system. I also sometimes use a software active crossover with parametric eq with some speakers, more software for measuring ts parameters and frequency response and even more software for a host of other applications. A couple of them cost some money but they are well worth the price. Speaker Audio Simulation Software Free Software IsIts possible to spend an incredible amount of money on software that performs these same tasks but in a lot of cases the free software is actually better than the commercial stuff. Benefiting from L-Acoustics long term experience in the modelling of acoustic sound sources, Soundvision is the first 3D sound design program capable of operating in real time. Either horizontal (plan) or vertical (cut) views can be selected to enter room coordinates or to define loudspeaker placementaiming. Impact coverage, SPL mapping or delay is then based on direct sound calculations over the defined audience geometry. System time alignment of multiple loudspeakers or arrays can be visualized with delay mode and the mechanical data provides detailed set-up information for installer and riggers. The engineer can quickly prepare and optimize the sound design variations specific to each venue. ![]() The Autosplay interface consists of a two-click path to inter-element angle optimization via the Init and Optimize buttons. The Init function quickly sets the angles and helps the user assess whether or not sound design objectives for each source can be met. The Optimize function executes a more refined analysis to improve sonic performance. Autofilter assists with system tuning of the mid and high frequencies. It further improves uniformity and flatness of the high frequency response, determining and applying linear-phased FIR filters to zoning groups within an array. Paths or walking surfaces should not incorporate these levels. As an average these guidelines should be as follows, 1.2m (3.09) for seating and 1.8m or (5.09) for standing. Speaker Audio Simulation Software Update The DriversNote: PC users equipped with an Intel HD Graphics 5500 graphics card (i3-5005U, i3-5015U, i3-5010U, i3-5020U, i5-5200U, i5-5300U, i7-5500U and i7-5600U processors): update the drivers to version 10.18.15.4279 (from Intel package version 15.40.7.4279) or higher. Previous versions of the drivers may give unexpected mapping results. Note: The following models are not compatible: GeForce 256, GeForce 2 series, 3 series, GeForce 4 series, GeForce FX series, GeForce 6 series, GeForce 7 series. ![]() Adobe and Reader are either registered trademarks or trademarks of Adobe Systems Incorporated in the United States andor other countries.
